I will write a description of this down and send it to Power Director people in Korea but I really don't have much hope of help. The real value to me of 4K video is terribly limited if I cannot use feed from multiple cameras. I have set the video monitor preview function to the lowest resolution setting.

Still no dice.Same jump.Īt this point with a deadline approaching I have converted it all to XAVC-S 1920x1080P and it works perfectly in Multicam Designer where I can choose which file to use based on what fits best with the situation and everything remains in sync.Ĭomputer is IBM PC i7 processor with 8 GB of memory and > 150GB hard disk space available running Windows 7.Ī couple of possibilities are move to Windows 8, or perhaps add more memory. Next I cut the AX1 file in half and also cut the size of the NX1 file to match so that each file was about 5 minutes long. OK next I tried reducing the size of the NX1 file to the size of the AX100 file and the same thing happened at about the same place too, the video jumps to the end of the AX100 file. The video at this point is frozen on the screen at the end of the AX100 feed and the resulting file is useless. After about 10 seconds-SORRY CHARLIE-the video feed skips to the end of the AX100 file while the sound stays with the NX1 and the sound is continuous as though nothing had happened. In this case I started off with video taken outdoors at about 3 pm in the AX100 of the first bridesmaid and groomsman walking into the wedding area and when they got to the aisle where the guests were seated I switched to the NX1 feed. Multicam Designer lets you choose which camera you take the feed from.

I put the 28 minute file from the NX1 into Multicam designer along with a 12 minute segment from the AX100 and let the software synchronize the two files.

I have been doing this for about a year now and have used files from four cameras in 1080P and it works really great. Power Director has a great feature called Multicam Designer into which you can put the files from 4 different cameras and the software will synchronize all four camera files according to the audio tracks from each camera. The files from both cameras were converted in Power Director to XAVC-S 3840-2160 30p and they both look great on a 4K monitor when played by themselves.
